Trash & Marks Guide

Standard mark convention, CC assignments mapped to our roster, and per-pack trash priorities for both SSC and TK. Lead marker is the raid leader (Havitz); CC callers double-check their mark before the pull.

Marks Convention

Kill order · CC types · Tank targets

Kill order, fastest to slowest:

On burn pulls, kill in that order. On CC pulls, the CC marks (Square, Moon, Triangle, Diamond) double as their CC type — the mob doesn't get killed until later in the order, after the CC drops or it's safe to focus.

The 8 Marks — Roles & Responsible Players

SkullKill 1 (priority). The most dangerous mob in the pack: silencer, healer, or high-damage caster.
Tanked by Havitz (or whichever tank holds the pack)
Cross / XKill 2. Second priority — usually the secondary caster or a high-threat melee.
Same tank as Skull (cleave)
SquareSheep target (Polymorph) / Kill 3. Mage CC. Re-sheep on a 4-second timer.
Mafe (primary) / Kandin (backup)
MoonSleep / Hibernate target / Kill 4. Druid Hibernate (beasts/dragonkin only) — falls to Mage 2 if no valid hibernate target.
Outis Hibernate (beasts only); otherwise Kandin 2nd Sheep
TriangleTrap target / Kill 5. Hunter Freezing Trap (humanoids/beasts).
Bandet (primary) / Dolmar (backup)
DiamondBanish or Fear target / Kill 6. Banish for elementals/demons; Seduction or Fear for humanoids.
Glad Banish/Fear; Meta backup; Gond third
StarMT target. The mob the main tank holds and faces away from the raid. Often a non-CC'able mob (Hate-Screamer, Mechanical, etc.).
Havitz on Star
CircleOT target. Off-tank pickup — adds, second tank target, or backup melee target.

Marking & Targeting Macros

For raid leader and CC callers

Raid Leader Mark Macros (Havitz)

Bind one for each mark. Target the mob, hit the bind, mark applied.

CC /assist Macros

Each CC caller binds one of these to assist the raid leader and immediately CC the assigned mark.

Universal Target-of-Skull Macro

For DPS — always assist the kill target without needing to retarget. Bind on a hotkey.

Focus-frame setup. All CC callers should set the target to focus once the mark is applied (`/focus`), then bind their CC to /cast [target=focus] Polymorph. This way they keep their main target on the Skull for DPS contributions while re-CCing on a hotkey.

Trash Healing Assignments

Same model as boss healing, simpler scope

Trash damage is a mix of melee tank damage + sporadic raid AoE from the dangerous casters. The healing model is the boss model lite — keep tanks topped, react to spike AoE, conserve mana.

Default Trash Healing Lineup

Raid Heals (AoE damage from priests/casters) Jd + Kali CoH/PoM; Jerzee Chain Heal cluster Reactive — Hate-Screamer Sonic Scream, Astromancer Fireball Volley, etc. Priests are the AoE healing kings; CoH is a 6s smart-heal that's basically free between pulls.
Mana Maintenance Crpc + Jerzee Mana Spring Totem in caster groups; healers drink between pulls Trash is run-back-able if the raid wipes; conserve mana for 4+ packs in a row.

Per-Pack Healer Adjustments

Hate-Screamer pulls (SSC)

30-yard AoE silence + heavy Sonic Scream raid AoE. Healers can be silenced — pre-stack HoTs and pre-shield before the silence.

  • Jd Renew + PoM rolling on tanks before pull
  • Littlemoon Lifebloom 3-stack + Rejuv on Havitz pre-engage
  • Crpc Earth Shield on Havitz
  • Kali stays back from 30-yard silence radius if possible — heal from outside the cone

Coilfang Frenzied (SSC) — fear adds

AoE fear scatters melee. Tremor Totem from Spoofy covers; healers should expect chaos.

  • Jd/Kali Fear Ward on Havitz pre-pull (TBC Anniversary universal)
  • Littlemoon Rejuv blanket on melee — HoTs tick through fear
  • Jerzee Chain Heal once melee return from fear

Astromancer packs (TK) — Fireball Volley AoE

Heavy raid-wide fire damage if not killed/sheeped fast. Pre-heal before the volley lands.

  • Jd + Kali Prayer of Healing on the cluster pre-volley
  • Crpc + Jerzee Chain Heal cluster
  • Littlemoon Wild-style Rejuv blanket on the group

Phoenix-Hawk packs (TK) — Mana Burn

Mana Burn drains casters and healers. Kill priority + spread casters out.

  • Healers spread to 10yd minimum so Mana Burn doesn't AoE-drain
  • Morg + Jd/Kali Mana Tide rotation if mana drained heavily (Crpc/Jerzee)
  • Outis Innervate on Morg or Jd if mana-critical mid-pack

Crystalcore room (TK) — mechanical pulls

No CC works on mechanicals. Tanks take all of it; raid takes minor splash.

  • Morg + Littlemoon on tank — high sustained damage from Devastators
  • Crpc Earth Shield on Havitz
  • Other healers conserve — minimal raid AoE

Pre-Kael gauntlet (TK) — heaviest trash in the raid

Sister of Torment fears + Anti-Magic Snare silences. Multiple healers will be silenced or feared at once.

  • Jd + Kali Fear Ward on tank + key DPS
  • Littlemoon HoTs blanket pre-pull (HoTs continue ticking through silence)
  • Crpc Tremor Totem in melee
  • Drink between every pack — this gauntlet can take 10+ minutes to clear
Healer mana between packs. SSC and TK trash is mana-intensive. Standard practice: 30s drink-break after every 2 pulls. Jd Shadowfiend on cooldown; Crpc/Jerzee Mana Tide Totem rotation; Outis Innervate as a third option for emergencies.

Hydross → Lurker corridor

Coilfang Frenzied murlocs (fear AoE) + Hydromancer Thespia mini-boss before Lurker. Run through fear-ward / tremor totem windows.

Frenzied murloc (priority — fear)   Coilfang priestess (heal)   Serpentshrine Lurker → Glad Banish (elemental)

Pre-Karathress packs

Underbog Lurker patrols + naga groups (Coilfang Striders + casters). Strider casts AoE fear in melee — pull at range.

Pre-Vashj packs (the gauntlet)

Heavy naga + Serpentguard packs. Lots of casters. Multiple sheep + traps + banishes per pack.

SSC trash linked to bosses. All trash respawns on a 2-hour timer until you kill the linked boss. If you wipe and the boss is dead, that boss's trash won't respawn. Plan re-clears around boss kills, not raid time.

Sister of Torment + Anti-Magic Snares + various elites. The hardest trash in TK. Banishes shine here — Sister of Torment is a demon type.

Star Scryer Mind Control note. When a Star Scryer's Domination lands on a raider, the raider becomes a temporary enemy. Jd + Kali Dispel Magic cleans it up; Felhunters from Glad/Meta/Gond Devour Magic also works. Don't kill a mind-controlled raider — dispel them.
Knockback pull awareness. Bloodwarder Vindicators and Crystalcore Devastators have knockback abilities. Position the tank so knockbacks don't push raiders into adjacent packs. Havitz face the pack away from unpulled trash.
